On September 21, 2014, John Cena appeared to almost make Brock Lesnar tap out to the STF until Seth Rollins interrupted the match by hitting Cena with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Although this caused Cena to win the match via disqualification, Lesnar retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Whether Lesnar is angry that Seth caused him to lose or happy that Seth caused him to retain the championship is unknown at this point.
Immediately after attacking Cena and clearing him out of the ring, Seth decided to take advantage of an exhausted Lesnar by curb-stomping him into the ring mat and then cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. Luckily for Lesnar, the bell did not ring as Cena began attacking Seth furiously. Cena may have won the match, but he was upset that he could've regained the championship had Seth not interfered. Lesnar on the other hand, should definitely be enraged that the Authority's golden boy weasel tried to steal his championship. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts targeting Seth for what happened.
On the next night, September 22, 2014 on WWE RAW, neither Brock Lesnar nor his advocate Paul Heyman appeared to mention the incident. How unfortunate. I was really looking forward to their reaction to the matter as well as a heated confrontation with Triple H and the Authority.
