Apparently, The Miz returned at the pay per view event and added himself to the WWE championship Money in the Bank contract ladder match. I wonder how these wrestlers have the ability to just add themselves to a
match without a General Manager or authority figure being present? Then again, WWE is known for defying logic in its storylines after all.
The Miz has been absent for 2 months due to filming for his movie "The Marine: Homefront."
Since it is John Cena's first time participating for the Money in the Bank, it looks like he will obviously win and make history. However, I have to wonder how he will cash in the briefcase? Would he do it the cheap way like other winners have done in the past when the current champion in no condition to compete? Or will he cash it in honorably and face the champion at the right time when both sides are at their full potential?
After Cena eventually wins the WWE title, maybe he can defend it against The Rock since he has expressed interest in becoming WWE champion again one day. Although many Rock fans would love that, it doesn't mean it would be a very good idea because there is a high chance he would be a part-time wrestler again. It would also be bad to see Cena lose to the electrifying man for the 2nd time in a row.
What's the point of having a part-time champion? How would he make interesting storylines if he is going to be busy making movies? Not to mention, Dwayne Johnson has stated in the past in an Entertainment magazine that he no longer wants to be known as a wrestler. He wants to be known as an actor and that he is NOT the Rock. This upset WWE fans and wrestlers like John Cena and Randy Orton.
Obviously, making Rocky a champion would be a disgrace to the WWE. The man has already had his time in the company and he accomplished a lot. There is really nothing left for him to prove, so he should only return for special guest appearances.
I think if Brock Lesnar does win the WWE title later on, it should be for a short time and then he can probably defend it against the Rock, John Cena, and another superstar (maybe Orton) in a fatal 4-way match at Wrestlemania 29. This would probably be the last time we see Lesnar and The Rock in the company together, so WWE might as well give us an exciting match before the veterans finally leave.
The winner would be hopefully be John Cena because he has been the current face of the company for the past decade now and it's only right that he wins. He has been leading the newest generation of WWE ever since the torched has been passed to him from Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold of the previous eras. Everyone, including those that came before Cena, are in his house now and will continue to be in it until the torch is passed once again.
